the first few hundred feet of a given runway.Īs yet, the only current reliable way to set a start, is to Slew an aircraft to each and every runway center-line in FSX, with ADE open. The result in ADE is Numbers that are nowhere near the actual FSX location and initially, missing center-line dashes in ADE - where they exist in FSX - for approx. The runway markings within ADE, do not entirely sync up - location wise - with the actual visuals in FSX.įor instance, ADE uses an entirely different font for the Runway Identifier Numbers, than the font used in FSX. It may not always be 100 percent perfect but there is also a way to nudge things when needed. Jon has coded ADE to do a lot of automated work under the hood. Even if the start location is relocated to a taxiway position (like some do in their design) the FP line starts and ends at the relocated position. When you make a FP the runway score is used to start the FP line at a runway start location and end the FP (destination) at a runway start location. ![]() All User plane Flight Plan lines for the MAP and GPS modes must start and end somewhere. The Start Location is also the Ending Location. So the Start Location is there so I am placed on a runway if I do not select a parking spot or in many cases at 1000's of airports there are no parking spots. How many complaints would MS have gotten if my plane was always placed in the middle of the airport on the grass (or wherever the ARP is located). If I use the World ->Go To Airport and there were no Start Locations I would be placed at the ARP. There are 1000's of airports that do not have any parking spots but all 24,000 + airports have at least 1 runway.
